Description
This is an early to mid-18th century farmhouse, now a house, located on the north side of High Street, Colerne. It has an ashlar front façade, while the side and rear walls are of rubble stone construction and the roof is covered with imitation slate. The building features coped gables and end wall stacks. It is two storeys and an attic, originally with a five-window front. Three flat roof dormers contain six-pane sashes. A cyma-moulded eaves cornice runs along the top of the front, and there is a moulded band marking the first floor. The first floor has five C19 four-pane sashes in recessed moulded surrounds. The ground floor has a central bolection-moulded doorcase, topped with a fine stone shell hood supported by brackets. To the left of the door are two four-pane sashes in recessed moulded surrounds. To the right is an inserted doorway and two further four-pane sashes. A rubble stone rear wing extends from the north-west side, featuring a brick end wall stack.
