Description

The Colerne Liberal Club, originally a pair of houses, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a Bridgwater tile roof with coped gables and end wall stacks. The building is two storeys high and has two first-floor three-light flush cyma-moulded windows. On the ground floor, there is a three-light recessed ovolo-moulded window with a hoodmould, along with a pair of doors set in flush doorcases that have a renewed hood supported by three stone brackets. Below the hoodmould, there are a pair of 19th-century sash windows. The west end wall contains two-light ovolo-moulded windows with hoodmoulds on each floor. Inside, there is a Tudor-arched stone fireplace at the east end, and there are large 20th-century extensions at the rear.
