Description

Washmeres House is an 18th-century house in Colerne. It is built of rubble stone with a Bridgwater tile roof, featuring coped gables and end wall stacks. The house is double-fronted and three stories high. The top floor has two four-pane windows, likely added in the late 18th century. The first floor features two flush two-light mullion windows with cyma-moulded detailing and dripstones. The ground floor has a similar three-light window with a dripstone, a six-panel door set within a chamfered flush doorcase with a hood on brackets, and a two-light recessed ovolo-moulded window on the right side, also with a truncated hoodmould. A rear outshut is present.
