Description
No 5 High Street is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a Bridgwater tile roof, with a coped east gable and end wall stacks. The building is one and a half storeys high.
The north front has a dormer gable that is coped, which contains a 2-light recessed ovolo-moulded mullion window with a hoodmould. On the ground floor, there are two windows: a 2-light bead-moulded mullion window and a 3-light recessed ovolo-moulded window, both of which have hoods. Additionally, there is a 2-light mullion window with a hood located on the east end wall.
The rear of the house has been altered, but the jambs and sill of a 3-light mullion window still survive. There is also a 2-light mullion window above the rear door. Part of No 5 is structurally incorporated into No 3.
