Description
This is an 18th-century farmhouse, extended in the early 19th century. The original 18th-century section is built of roughly-squared stone, while the 19th-century additions are of coursed rubble with cut dressings. The roof is slate, with two grey brick stacks.
The south elevation is divided into three sections. The central part, with three bays, features a renewed front door and nine-pane sash windows, except for a renewed sash window in a widened opening to the right of the door. The taller two-bay 19th-century section to the left has a part-glazed door within a 20th-century glazed porch, and twelve-pane sashes. To the right is a slightly set-back two-bay 19th-century section with nine-pane sashes on the ground floor and twelve-pane sashes above, all of which are renewed. There are stepped end stacks on the left-hand section, along with a rebuilt ridge and right-hand stack.
Attached to the far left is a garden wall that runs south, stepping down, before returning short in an easterly direction.
Attached outbuildings to the far right have been altered and are not considered to be of architectural significance.
