Description

Brocks Bushes Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century, with an extension and front wing added in the early 19th century. The front is constructed of squared stone, while the other elevations are made of rubble, featuring tooled quoins and dressings, and it has a slate roof. The front of the house has two storeys and three symmetrical bays. The central door has been renewed and includes a 4-pane overlight, set within an alternating-block surround. There are 16-pane sash windows with tooled lintels and slightly projecting sills. The gables are coped and have moulded kneelers, with stepped and banded end stacks.

To the left, there is a two-bay section that reveals the irregular quoins of the west end of the 18th-century house, with renewed 16-pane sashes and a coped gable with moulded kneelers and a stepped and banded end stack. On the far left, there is a 20th-century extension that incorporates former farm buildings, which is not of interest. The rear elevation displays 18th-century masonry and 16-pane sashes, some of which have been renewed.
