Description

Mollersteads Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of roughly-cut, coursed rubble with roughly-cut quoins, and tooled-and-margined dressings. The roof is covered in grey tiles, and there are stone and brick stacks. The house is two storeys, with two bays. The front features a six-panel door within an alternating-block surround, sheltered by a gabled hood supported on moulded corbels. There are 16-pane sash windows, mostly in stone surrounds, although the lower right window has been renewed. The gables are coped, with a stone stack on the right end and a grey brick stack on the left end. An outshut adjoins the right side, and a 20th-century rear wing are not considered to be of historical interest.
