Description
The Fox and Hounds Inn is an 18th-century inn constructed of rubble with a stone flag roof and brick stacks. The main section is two storeys high and has three slightly irregular bays. The entrance is an old boarded door located left of centre, flanked by four-pane sash windows, all of which have timber lintels that are cemented over. There are smaller four-pane sashes above these. At the ends, there are stacks. To the right, there is a one-storey, five-bay section featuring a renewed door in the first bay, a four-pane sash in the second bay, and three 20th-century casements. A 20th-century brick ridge stack is also present. The inn is included for its group value.
Inside, there are two plain 18th-century fireplaces, a staircase in the northeast corner with a two-panel door, and old transverse beams.
