Description

Castle Cottage is a house dating from the 17th or early 18th century. It is built of colourwashed sarsen with some remaining timber framing, and has a thatched roof. Originally, the house had three bays, but a wing has been added to the left side, and a 20th-century extension to the right. The main entrance is now in the right gable end, replacing a doorway that previously served the centre bay, which is now a window. The windows are timber casements. There is one flush dormer window to the front and one to the left gable. The interior has been altered, featuring a stair in the centre bay and a main stack between the centre and left bay.
