Description

SU 16 NW WEST OVERTON LOCKERIDGE (west side) 9/139 Dene Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Mid C17. Squared sarsen, with thatched roof. Two storeys and attics. Walls battered. Four bays, the second bay from left being a narrower bay with entrance and stair. Entrance altered, now a glazed door. Large paired sash window to living room to left. Three upper floor and one lower floor windows are original, of stone with moulded surrounds mullions and labels, those to the upper floor with transomes. Third bay has a 12-pane sash. Two small dormers and one in right end. Roof hipped. On left, brick and sarsen rear wing, formerly dairy, of 3 bays and C20 verandah in re-entrant angle. Interior has wavy splat balustrade to attic level of stair. Pegged collar trusses. Ceiling beams boxed.
