Description

Hillside Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of sarsen stone with limestone dressings and features a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with a brick and tiled extension on the left side. The central entrance has a boarded door and is sheltered by a rustic thatched canopy, which leads into a stair hall. The windows are arranged in two and three-light configurations, with rebated and ogee moulded mullions, surrounded by labels above. There are gable brick stacks, and a long sloping roof extends to a lean-to, which has a tall brick stack.
