Description
Westbrook Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the late 17th century and 18th century. It is constructed of sarsen rubble and extended in chalkstone, topped with a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays. The central section features a half-glazed door leading to a through stair hall, with a parlour on the left and service rooms on the right. The left bay has been re-windowed in the 19th century and now features timber casements. The right bay contains bead-moulded stone three-light windows with leaded metal casements and moulded straight labels. There are gable stacks from the original build. To the left, there is a one-and-a-half bay extension, likely from the 18th century, which now serves as a dining room, with a kitchen in the end half bay. The roof is hipped over the left bay, which also has a single-storey outbuilding to the rear. Inside, the stack in the parlour is dated 1694.
