Description
Banning's Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on Bray Street in Avebury Trusloe. It is constructed of diaper brick with stone dressings and features a tiled roof. The building has two storeys, a cellar, and attics, with a total of five bays. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled door topped by a two-light overlight and is sheltered by a bracketed flat canopy. Notable architectural details include a moulded mid-wall stone string, a plinth, and flush stone quoins. The farmhouse has 19th-century timber casement windows set in cambered brick openings with stone keys. There are also two flat-roofed dormers and gable stacks. Moulded stone windows can be found in the cellar under the right bays. Additionally, the roof has been extended over a contemporary outshut at the rear.
