Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century and late 18th century. It is constructed of brick with a tiled roof that has replaced the original thatch. The building is two stories high with attics and features four bays, along with an attached dairy at the rear. Inside, there is a central stair hall, a parlour to the right, a living room to the left, and a kitchen located beyond the major stack. The entrance door is 18th century and panelled. The windows are tripartite 12-pane sashes. On the left gable facing the road, there is brickwork with incised TT and the date 1780. The interior includes a roof with short windbraces in the centre bay and a heavy chamfered spine beam in the kitchen. The wall to the right of the stair is said to have long diagonal timbers, likely serving as tension braces.
