Description

Rosegarth is a 17th-century farmhouse, originally three cottages, now a house, situated in Grafton West. It is timber framed with colourwashed brick noggings, and has a thatched roof. The building is single-storey and attic, with two bays, and has been extended to three. The original lobby entry is now the entrance to the gable of a rear outshut. The timber framing extends three panels high, featuring gable tension bracing and corner braces to the facade. It has timber casement windows. The thatch sweeps over two dormers and is half-hipped to the right, with the extension also thatched. The interior has fully framed bay divisions, with haunched posts and a queen strut roof.
