Description

The D. Parker monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 14 meters south of the southeast angle of the tower of the Church of St. James. This early 19th-century monument is made of pennant stone and features a rectangular plaque on the north side, which is flanked by strips adorned with wreaths, torches, and garlands. The ends of the tomb are shaped like lyres and include fruit drops. The south side has panels with foliage strips on either side. It has a moulded base and capstone, and the north side bears an inscription commemorating D. Parker, who died in 1805.
