Description

The Parker Chest Tomb, located 2 yards west of the tower of the Church of St Peter, is a chest tomb dedicated to Elizabeth Parker, who died in 1797. It features a stepped brick plinth with a moulded stone base that supports the bottom of the tomb. The sides of the tomb are panelled and decorated, topped with a flat, inscribed lid that has a moulded edge. The corners of the tomb are accentuated by recessed, fluted angle piers set on moulded plinths.
