Description

This is a row of eight mid-19th century cottages located on Bridewell Street. The cottages are likely to incorporate elements of an earlier structure, as they may have been refaced. They are built of red brick and have gable-ended slate roofs. Each cottage has two windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor, with sash windows; some of the first-floor windows retain glazing bars. The recessed doors are mostly four-panelled, with two glazed panels, although some have been modernized. Numbers 1 to 13 form a group.
