Description
No. 52 Calne Road is a house built in 1793, as indicated by a datestone for Tho. Burchall. The building is constructed of coursed limestone and features a 20th-century tiled roof with gable stacks. It has two storeys and two bays that face the road, along with a two-bay rear wing that is higher and includes a stack and a quarter hipped roof. The gable of the wing is made of brick, and the entrance is located under a pitched stone-slated porch supported by turned balusters. The windows are timber casements with leaded lights, including two-light and three-light configurations, with some 20th-century replacement windows on the ground floor of the wing. Stone voussoirs are present above the openings. The interior has not been seen.
