Description

Number 56 on The Green is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed of brick with some slight timber framing visible in the gable. The thatched roof is hipped to the right and raised over three dormers. The building has three bays, which have been extended by one bay to the right, running parallel to the road. It is one storey with an attic. The elevation is whitewashed and features 20th-century paned casement windows with timber lintels. There is a gable stack and an axial stack located between the second and third bays, along with an additional stack for the extension. The interior has not been seen.
