Description

This building, located at 1 High Street in Malmesbury, is a house and shop that underwent early 19th-century refurbishment of an earlier structure. It features a rendered exterior, a rear party wall stack, and a hipped stone tile roof. The building has a single-depth plan, is two storeys tall with an attic, and has a one-window range. Positioned on a corner site, it has a splayed one-window right-hand corner, a rusticated left-hand pilaster strip, and a parapet. The mid-19th-century shop front includes a right-hand doorway, pilasters, a cornice, and a fascia, along with a matching window in the splay. The first-floor windows are keyed 6/6-pane sashes, and there is a mid-20th-century three-light casement dormer. The interior has not been inspected.
