Description
No. 6 Gloucester Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 17th century and was refronted in the 18th century. The building is made of rendered limestone rubble with stone dressings, featuring upper timber-framing and a brick front. It has a brick gable stack and a pantile roof. The layout consists of a two-room plan that runs parallel to the street. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window range. The 20th-century shop front includes a doorway on the right and three windows with glazing bars. The first floor has jetties on the right side, which have been rebuilt above, and features 8/8-pane sash windows. The right-hand return gable is made of rubble and has quoins and a jetty beam. The interior has not been inspected.
