Description
The Strong and Toy monuments are located in the churchyard about 4 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St George. The chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is made of limestone and features two recessed panels with recessed panelled pilasters on the main sides, lozenge-shaped end panels, and a flat top with a cavetto moulding. It bears an inscription for John Strong, who died in 1771. The body tomb, from the late 17th century, has chamfered sides and an inscription on the north side, which is partly illegible but includes the date 1666.
