Description
Two Young monuments are located in the churchyard, 10 metres north-east of the chancel of the Church of St Michael and All Angels. These are two chest tombs from the late 18th century, made of limestone and inscribed from north to south.
The first tomb dates to 1764 and features a plain rectangular shape with deeply incised Roman lettering on the side and end panels. It has a chamfered base and a cyma recta moulded slab.
The second tomb, dating from 1794, includes angle balusters and has two raised and fielded panels on either side, with the southern panel displaying deeply incised Roman lettering. This tomb also has a moulded base and a deeply projecting cyma recta moulded slab.
