Description

The Thomas Strongitharm Memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 20 yards south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels. It commemorates Thomas Strongitharm, who died in 1804. The tomb is made of stone and has a rectangular plan with panelled sides, corner balusters, and a moulded base and cap. At the west end of the tomb, the Strongitharm family achievement of arms is carved, featuring the motto "GOD IS OUR HOPE."
