Description
This boundary wall and gateway date to the 18th century and are located to the north of numbers 71A and 71B The Close, along West Walk. The wall is approximately 1.8 metres high and constructed of flint rubble and stone, with some brickwork visible. The wall is punctuated by stone gate piers topped with ball finials. Modern wooden gates are situated adjacent to number 71B. The buildings in The Close collectively form a building of outstanding group value.
