Description

Stansfield Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the west side of Poulshot Road, in Poulshot. It is largely rendered with a thatched roof, hipped to the north, and features an axial ridge stack. The end walls are of painted brick, with exposed timber framing visible at the north end. The house is two storeys high, with a three-window front, and was likely originally double-fronted with a lobby-entry plan, later extended to the south. A 20th-century tiled timber porch fronts the house, containing a door and featuring triple casements to each side, along with a pair of casements in an eyebrow dormer above the first floor. To the left of the porch is a pair of casement windows on each floor.
