Description
Manor Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century, which features a refronting of an earlier timber-framed structure. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and has a hipped stone slate roof with a ridge stack on the left side. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a five-window range that includes two gabled dormers. The main front is formal, showcasing flush quoins, a raised moulded plinth, a raised band, and a moulded eaves cornice.
On the first floor, there are five 2-light beaded stone-mullion windows, each with brick voussoirs above. The ground floor has two similar 2-light windows on the right, featuring cambered brick arches above, and on the left, there is a stone cross-window on each side of a 4-panel door, which is set in a raised moulded surround with a hood supported by brackets. The end walls and rear of the house display exposed square-framing. Inside, the ground floor is characterized by heavy chamfered beams with bar stops.
