Description

Dukes Farmhouse is a house from the 17th century, constructed of painted rubble stone and later extended in painted brick. It features a thatched roof with end stacks, while the left end has a concrete tile roof that is half-hipped at the north end. The building is two storeys high and has been completely refenestrated with 20th-century metal casements. The main range includes a door set in a gabled timber porch, with a pair of casements and a triple casement on the right side of each floor. The left section is made of painted brick and also has a triple casement on each floor. The left end, under the concrete tile roof, shows painted brick at the front with one triple casement and rubble stone at the north end. The house was formerly timber-framed and features a moulded Tudor-arched hall fireplace.
