Description

Higher Green Farmhouse is a 17th-century timber-frame farmhouse, which was later faced with red brick during the early 19th century. It has a concrete tile roof with a stack at the east end and a ridge stack where the west end originally was. The front of the house has two storeys and a three-window facade. It features triple casement windows on either side of a first-floor casement pair, and a ground-floor door. A windowless section extends to the left. The west end wall is of chequered brick. The east end wall is roughcast over the timber frame. The rear wall reveals an exposed square framing with angle braces. A square-framed rear wing is also present.
