Description
Breastlands is a house dating from the 16th to 17th century, constructed with a timber frame and featuring a thatched roof that is half-hipped at the north end, with stacks at the ridge and south end. The building has one and a half storeys and is supported by square framing on a rubble stone plinth, with the north end appearing to be the earlier section. On the upper floor, there are two pairs of casement windows with eyebrow arches. The ground floor includes paired 20th-century nine-pane windows and a door on the left side, along with a casement pair and another casement window on the right. Inside, there are large timber-lintel fireplaces located at the south end and in the center of the house. The central room features a heavy chamfered and stopped center beam.
