Description

This is an early 18th-century house located in Corsham's Monks Park. It is built of rubble stone with a stone-tiled roof and an east-end chimney stack. The south front has three windows and displays flush quoins. It features recessed cyma-moulded mullion windows: a three-light window above, and two two-light windows. A door and two further two-light windows are located below. Two dormers are present. The west-end attic window is a two-light design with a hoodmould. The north side has all windows blocked and incorporates a central door within a 19th-century timber gabled porch. Inside, a large east-end fireplace is notable for its chamfered stone sides and a chamfered timber lintel. The first-floor east-end fireplace is bolection-moulded stone.
