Description

These are a pair of two-story ashlar cottages, built around 1857. They form an end terrace pair, located on Adcroft Street. The cottages have two windows each, and are distinguished by side and central pier strips, a band at first-floor level, a cornice, and a blocking course. The roof is slate, with two ridge chimneys made of ashlar. The windows are modern casements. They have plain brackets supporting plain hoods. A doorway to number 13 is located on the return front. Numbers 1 to 13 (consecutively) together with the central block of the District Hospital, and numbers 16 to 29 (consecutively) form a group.
