Description

This is a late 18th and early 19th century, two-story detached house facing south, comprising a three-window front and a three-story, one-window wing to the east (No. 12). The main house is constructed of red brick with a stone plinth, vertical brick strips at the sides, a band at the first floor level, a moulded cornice, and a parapet. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, flat brick arches, and stone keys, with plate glass sashes on the first floor. No. 12 has stone surrounds to its windows and a stone cill band on the second floor. A central, round-headed doorway features a cusped-headed trellis porch, a six-panel door (with lower flush panels, a central raised and fielded panel, and an upper glazed panel), and a cast iron knocker. A traceried fanlight is above the door. No. 12 also includes a lean-to verandah and a greenhouse with an arcade featuring decorative wrought ironwork and antefixae to the cornice.
