Description

This is an early 19th-century terrace of two storeys, consisting of numbers 30 to 34 Waterloo Place. The building is constructed of Bath stone, set on a projecting plinth. A string course runs at the level of the first-floor cills, inscribed (though now badly painted) with "Waterloo Place" to the left. Above this is a small cornice and a tall parapet with balustraded panels, some of which have been removed, finished with moulded coping. The roof is hipped and covered in slate.

Each house originally had one narrow window to the left and a single four-pane sash window on the first floor. To the right, on the ground floor, is a wider window with a four-pane sash, set within an arched stone recess, and a more elaborate six-panel door. This door features shaped panels, an arched fanlight with radiating and wreathed patterns containing rosette ornament in recessed arches. All doors are fitted with cast iron lion’s heads and brass knockers.
