Description
Duke Street Mill, now part of Watney's Bottling Plant, is an early 19th-century building, dating from around the 1830s. It stands three storeys high with a gable-lit attic. The exterior is constructed of coursed rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, along with cill bands on the first and second floors. There are eleven ranges of standard windows with segmental heads and lintels, fitted with glazing bar casements. The roof is covered with double Roman tiles. On the ground floor, there are two large double windows and a former entrance with a quoined segmental head. The main door is located to the right, flanked by narrow openings on either side. Inside, the timber is lined at lintel level.
