Description

Nos 150 and 151 are two semi-detached houses located on the north side of Bath Road in Atworth. They date from the late 17th century and were extended at the front in the mid-19th century. No 151 is built of rubble stone, while No 150 is made of dressed limestone. Both houses feature stone slate roofs with coped verges and stone stacks.

No 150 is two stories high with a three-window front. It has a central 20th-century panelled door flanked by 12-pane sash windows, and a plat band at the first floor level, which also has three sash windows. No 151 is a parallel range that is partly to the rear of No 150. It is also two stories tall and has a two-window front with a planked door. To the left, there is a 2-light mullioned casement in a blocked former doorway, with a stringcourse that extends over this opening. To the right, there is a 3-light casement. The first floor features a 2-light ovolo-mullioned casement and a 3-light wooden casement. The rear of No 151 includes 2-light casements and a gabled attic dormer with a single-light casement.

The front of the houses is adorned with cast iron railings that have dog bars, set on stone dwarf walls, and there are matching single gates for each house. The interiors were not accessible during the survey conducted in November 1986.
