Description
The Redman monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 3.5 metres north of the Long Chapel at the Church of St Mary. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a moulded plinth and two grooved panels with carved central pilasters, as well as grooved quarter shafts at the corners. There is a grooved frieze at the top. The inscription commemorates Charles Redman, who died in 1811. At the time of the survey in January 1987, the frieze was partly missing and the panels were damaged.
