Farmhouse. Mid C17, altered mid C18 and C19. English bond brick on rubble stone plinth to C17 range, C19 range is Flemish bond brick, tiled roof with stone slate eaves with hip to left and brick stacks. L-plan. Two-storey, 3-window south front. Three 3-light ovolo-mullioned casements with hoodmoulds and 20-pane sash to right, first floor has three 3-light ovolo-mullioned casements with hoodmoulds. Right return has 12-pane sash and 16-pane sash to ground floor, first floor has 3-light casement, 2-light casement to attic. C18 rear wing attached to right has 9-panelled door in deep chamfered case with flat stone hood on brackets, 3-light casements. Left return and rear wing to right are early C19 with 12-pane and 16-pane sashes. Interior not accessible at time of survey (May 1986), but said to contain chamfered beams and C18 rear drawing room. Acquired by the Whitaker family of clothiers in C18.
