Description
Greenacres Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with a 19th-century wing added to the south. The building features a partly timber-framed structure that is plastered and whitewashed, along with sections made of whitewashed brick and flint. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall with attics in the earlier wing. The roof is steeply pitched, covered with plain tiles on the north side and pantiles on the south. The windows are casements with glazing bars, and there are attic casements in the east gable. The house has two brick chimney stacks. The 18th-century wing is made of colour-washed brick and has a slate roof, also two storeys high, with four bays featuring sashes without glazing bars. The entrance has a six-panelled door with a simple doorcase that includes plain pilasters. There is an off-centre ridge chimney stack, and some timber framing is exposed on the north wall. Additionally, there is a 20th-century extension at the south-west corner.
