Description

Nos. 39, 40, and 41 on The Street is a house that has been subdivided. It dates from the 17th century and was significantly restored around 1980. The building features a partly timber-framed structure that is rendered and colourwashed, topped with a steeply-pitched pantile roof. It has two storeys and an attic, with three widely spaced window openings, all of which are 20th-century casements. There is an off-centre axial chimney stack, with a 20th-century gabled porch and entrance located opposite the stack. A chimney is also present on the west gable. Additionally, there is a lower 1½ storey gabled wing at the west gable that includes a pantiled 'wedge' dormer, and a 20th-century garage extension at the east gable.
