Description
Church Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The 18th-century section is built of red brick and features a hipped pantile roof, while the earlier wing to the north is constructed of colourwashed brick and flint with a steeply-pitched pantile roof that is gabled at the north end. The building is two storeys high and has a T-shaped layout.
The principal facade faces south and consists of three bays with sash windows that have glazing bars and gauged brick arches above the openings. There is a central doorway with a six-panelled door set within a rusticated doorcase that includes Doric pilasters. The facade is further enhanced by brick corner pilasters and a moulded brick string course at the first-floor level. The eaves overhang features paired brackets on the soffit, and there are two chimney stacks symmetrically placed behind the ridge line.
The colourwashed wing to the north has 20th-century casements with cross mullions and transoms, along with glazing bars. The gable at the north end is parapeted and includes a rendered external chimney stack, with a central axial stack present as well.
