Detached house. Late C18. Flemish bond brick, tiled roof with hip to left and coped verge to right, brick stacks. Two parallel ranges. Two-storey and mezzanine floor, 3 windows. Central 9- panelled door in round-arched reveals with fanlight and open pediment, pair of 12-pane sashes to right and pair of 9-pane sashes to left. Toothed brick plat band over. Mezzanine floor to left half of front has pair of 9-pane sashes. First floor has toothed brick plat band with pair of 9-pane sashes to left, 12-pane sash to centre and pair of 12-pane sashes to right. Right return has two French windows to ground floor and three 12-pane sashes to first floor. Left return has inserted C20 garage to left, attached greenhouse to right, 16-pane sash, blocked window and C20 casements to first floor. Interior not accessible at time of survey (May 1986). Probably built for the Ballard family, the present house is a rebuilding of an earlier one.
