Description

The Manse is a manse to the Baptist Chapel, built around 1800. It features a rendered exterior with a Welsh slate roof and gable end brick stacks. The building is two stories tall and has three windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped with a flat stone hood supported by brackets. On either side of the door are 20-pane sash windows, with an additional 20-pane sash window on the right side. The rear of the building has a late 19th-century parallel range with 4-pane sash windows. Although the interior was not accessible during the survey in May 1986, it is reported to retain window shutters, six-panelled doors, and original stairs. The manse was built by Thomas Parfet between 1802 and 1803 at a cost of £433.18s., which was raised by subscription.
