Farmhouse. Early C16, with additions and alterations of late C17 and early C19. Rubble and brick with rendered front wall. Three-room plan, basically late C17, incorporating C16 remnants, with fourth room added to south in early C19; north gable stack and to rear wall. Two storeys, dentilled cornice, 3 windows to first floor, right end blank, two 8-pane mid-C19 horizontally sliding sashes flank a 2-light casement; ground floor: to right French window opening from early C19 room; to left 2 windows flank central entrance, 3-light late C20 casement to left; 18-pane horizontally sliding sash to right with ovolo glazing bars; entrance has flat canopy with moulded cornice on scrolled brackets, 6-panelled door in wood surround. In rear wall a doorway with chamfered jambs and 4-centred head, all of stone, in contemporary stone wall, C16, but rebuilt first floor. Interior: some fragments of reset C17 panelling in entrance hall; open well staircase, with turned balusters, mid- C18, probably reset. (RCHM 1, p 215, no 11).
