Description
Hinton Court is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with an extension added in 1723 and mid-19th and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of rubble with a concrete tile roof that is half-hipped at the south end. The building is L-shaped, with wings extending to the south and east; the south wing is from the late 17th century, while the east wing was added in 1723.
On the east front, the left side features two storeys, while a gabled wing projects to the right, which has one storey and an attic. The left side includes a 20th-century, two-light casement window with a timber lintel to the left and a cross window to the right, set under a flat brick arch. The ground floor has a three-light casement window under a similar flat brick arch to the left, and an entrance to the right, also under a flat arch, featuring a ledged door in a wooden frame. The gable wing on the right has a 20th-century, two-light casement window with a wooden lintel above an early 20th-century lean-to, which is half-glazed to the left, and another two-light casement window to the right. A datestone on the west wall of the east/west wing is inscribed with "V" and "1723".
