Description
Hill View is a house built around 1840, featuring an ashlar front and ironstone with a slate valley roof, coped gables, and spine wall ashlar stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window main front that includes a raised band and moulded eaves. The first floor has a narrow twelve-pane sash window in the center, flanked by broad eight-pane sashes on each side. The entrance consists of a central six-panel door with an overlight, set in a raised moulded surround with a hood supported by console brackets. The end wall facing the road has paired gables with saddlestones, ashlar unmoulded flush stone mullion windows, and flush quoins, featuring two 2-light windows on the attic, first, and ground floors. There is an ashlar band at the first floor and a plinth at the base.
