Description

Ivy House is a house built around 1840, constructed from squared rubble stone with white joints and ashlar dressings. It features a slate roof with coped gables and end stacks. The building has a basement and two storeys, with a three-window range of sashes set in flush ashlar surrounds. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door in a raised surround, topped with a hood supported by brackets. The windows are arranged with 16 panes on each side and 12 panes in the centre. There is a raised ashlar plinth and angle piers, along with a flush eaves band. The basement windows are located in the plinth, and the side walls are made of rubble stone.
