Description

Greystones is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of rubble stone with ashlar dressings and a stone slate roof. It features coped gables and end stacks, and is two storeys high with an attic. The building has a three-window range, with 2-light beaded mullion windows and a central door set in a beaded surround. There is a 20th-century porch supported by heavy timber. The upper windows are adorned with hoodmoulds, while the ground floor windows have hoodmoulds that continue across as a dripcourse. At the rear, there is a northeast wing with an east stack, and a lower northwest addition from the 19th century that includes a west stack and an eaves dormer at the front. The house was used as a rectory in the late 19th century and is included for its group value.
