Description
Avon Lodge is a two-storey villa built around 1830 to 1850, constructed of stock brick. The front of the building features a broad canted bay that projects forward, with a hipped slate roof covering the entire structure and flat eaves. On the first floor, there are three recessed sash windows with slightly cambered heads, and the glazing bars remain intact. The ground floor has four sash windows, two of which are located in the canted sides of the bay, and these do not have glazing bars. A projecting rendered central porch with a block cornice and parapet leads to the entrance, which has two narrow sidelights and a modern glazed door.
